With South Mountain’s outdoorsy lifestyle, it’s no wonder the area is a hotspot for cynophiles (AKA dog lovers) and their furry BFFs. And the best thing is: when you live here, canine companionship doesn’t have to end at hiking trails and dog parks. Between South Mountain, Downtown Phoenix and Tempe, many dining and gathering places will welcome your pooch to their pack any day. Below we compiled a list of the most “pawpular” locations around.
Dog-Friendly Restaurants, Cafés & Bars
Fine food and drinks, a relaxed atmosphere and room for four-legged sidekicks—the recipe for a great time on the town. With outdoor tables, shaded patios, water bowls and dog-friendly staff, as long as your dog is well-behaved and leashed, you’ll find plenty of canine-conscious dining venues for all tastes. Just make sure to call ahead and secure your table, before someone else claims it as their territory.
